Project Spotlight:Hot Dogs & Home Runs

An All-Star Summer with Delaware North Sportservice at Truist Park

One thing I love about being a photographer is that it's a very active job - yes, there are oh so many computer hours, but there's a great many energetic ones too!

Last month, I put some serious miles in at Truist Park during MLB's Home Run Derby and The All-Star Game, photographing for the incredible team at Delaware North Sportservice. Getting to work with this team for pre-season, post-season, and other special event menus is always a truly great time - we work hard and have quite a bit of fun!

My assignment for these two special days? Well, my client's direction - aside from a list of dishes and areas they’d like to see featured - was “we always love what you do, so just do your thing.” My thing is storytelling - seeking out moments that, when you look at them later, make you feel like you were there. The joy that delicious, unique, and “baseball classic” food + drinks bring to the ballpark experience, and the behind-the-scenes hustle of teams that makes it all happen for thousands of fans — all while dodging crowds, the Georgia humidity 😅, and you know… baseballs.

I loved every second.

The energy during these events is electric.

My small but mighty team and I are weaving through masses of fans, camera in hand, scouting moments of real joy, and engaging people to capture their genuine enthusiasm — all while knowing that every second counts to nail my shot list. It's fast, it's loud, and it's exactly the kind of challenge that makes me love what I do.

One of the best parts is the people I get to work with.

Great team is so important - no matter what the shoot is, I want good energy, solution-focused people who aren't afraid to put in hard work alongside me.

My husband assisted me for the Home Run Derby - at 6'4", he makes an excellent human light stand 😁 but he also really understands what I'm looking for and helps me spot great moments, and captures really great behind the scenes!
For the All-Star Game, I had my teenage son— whom I like remind that when IIII was 16 I was waiting tables at a BBQ restaurant — along with my dear friend and fellow food photographer, Shelly Waldman, who flew in from London just days before… which was also my birthday!
And of course, the incredible Delaware North team — both my Atlanta crew as well as the creative team from corporate that flew in, and was thrilled to finally meet in person and collaborate with in real time!

This is a collage of images showing the behind the scenes of Lauren Hubbard's time photographing the 2025 MLB All Star Game at Truist Park, and shows the team she worked with.

If your brand has a story to tell - whether it's in a stadium, a restaurant, or a hotel halfway around the globe - I'd love to help you tell it.

📅 Book a call with me and let's make it happen.
