Looking Back: One arm down, but still on set

Thank you Brandon Clifton for this shot!

Throwback to September of last year (2022) when I was a week out of fairly major shoulder surgery and my friend (and fantastic photographer) Brandon Clifton grabbed this behind the scenes of me! πŸ˜… It may not seem noticeable, but my left arm is down because I was totally incapable of lifting it! Technically I wasn’t supposed to be out of my sling at all, but it was just too hot outside not to take a little break from it! I’m now fully recovered, and I’m so grateful to have had the surgery. I’d been pushing through an immense amount of pain daily for 9 months before I finally went through with it. Turns out a torn rotator cuff, torn labrum, extensive arthritis and bursitis, and roughly 11mm of collarbone needing to be removed really adds up! I had forgotten what it was like to move my arm without pain. I’m so thankful to be recovered!

I’m incredibly grateful to Tucker Kress because he made all my photoshoots possible for the 3ish months I was working at a diminished capacity by being a constant extra set of hands - and sometimes even a model! πŸ˜†πŸ’œ

I’m including a few images from this super fun shoot with Live! At The Battery below. Their team was fantastic to work with and I’m thrilled with what we were able to create together!

As I post this, it’s the day after my second shoot with them and it was wonderful to be back with everyone as a fully-functioning photographer!
