SHUTTERSTOCK CUSTOM FOR WAYBACK BURGERS

Client work, out in the internet-wild!

This shoot was my first with Shutterstock Custom, which took place in June of 2019, for Wayback Burgers. There were a couple of components to this shoot that made it challenging - in a fun way :-) …

The first challenge was location - this needed to take place in Savannah, GA and at the time, I lived in Alpharetta, GA…several hours away. Because of the project timeline, my distance from the location, and my shoot schedule, there was not a great deal of scouting time available so I had to rely on Google Maps street views and satellite views as well as social media shares to map out an initial plan for location - and several backup plans. I also planned the arrival on shoot day in a way that would allow me time for getting the talent settled, driving to all location options to determine what we would use and check for any construction that may have popped up.

Second on the list of challenges was the focus of the shoot - MILKSHAKES. In June. In Savannah, GA. If you’ve ever been in the south in June, you know it can be pretty brutal. Looking back at my call sheet, the high that day was 93 and milkshakes…they don’t really last long in the heat! The solution? A cooler, a lot of dry ice, backup milkshakes, and a lot of whipped cream for re-topping, and a really amazing production assistant!

Vital to this shoot was wonderful TALENT! Our three models for this shoot- Clara, Messiah, and Valerie- are represented by Ei Model Management. Their patience, great sense of humor, and professionalism were a big part of what made this photoshoot a success!

With Joy,
